5th and 6th July 2026

We’re delighted to announce a conference on Rethinking Youth Gender Medicine jointly organised by the Clinical Advisory Network on Sex and Gender and the Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine.
At a time of intense debate and rapid change in treatment of children and young people with gender related problems, this conference will look deeper and wider at the fundamental issues, asking how did we get here, what does the research tell us, and if medical and surgical intervention is not the answer to a generation of distressed children and young people what is? Tickets and programme available soon.
Everyone is welcome and we especially hope clinicians whose work involves providing care to gender distressed/questioning children and young people will attend. We also hope that other professionals such as teachers and social workers as well as young people and parents affected by these issues will find the conference interesting.
Tickets will be available soon and the conference will be live-streamed.
There will be a reception with drinks and canapés on the Sunday evening.
