Former Chair of the Labour Party, has sat on the NCC & National Patient Safety Agency & chaired the Legal Services Consumer Panel. Previously Shadow Brexit Minister, she has run a number of NGOs including Alcohol Concern, is on the board of the ABI & is a published historian.

Professor Kaltiala is Chief Psychiatrist at the Department of Adolescent Psychiatry, Tampere University Hospital in Finland. As head of a national paediatric gender clinic in Finland, Prof Kaltiala was the first leader in this field to champion a change in policy away from the medicalisation of children and young people with gender dysphoria. Her research continues to bring new knowledge and understanding to this field.

Sonia Appleby is a psychotherapist and former Safeguarding Children Lead at the Tavistock and Portman Trust, which included the Tavistock Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS).
She lodged a whistleblowing claim at the London Employment Tribunal against her former employer for undermining her ability to perform her safeguarding role, and won.

Professor Richard Byng is a GP and professor of primary care research who has a particular interest in mental health and the care of individuals with complex needs.
Richard talks about how current care for 17-25 year olds with gender dysphoria could be improved to reflect evidence and professional standards of practice, and in particular to ensure that these young people receive good mental health support.

They explain that “detransition” is a misnomer, as it’s not usually possible to reverse all the changes made.

The first woman trained in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the UK, studied Medical Law & Ethics, & served as a consultant & Clinical Director of Women’s Services at Guyʼs & St Thomasʼ Hospitals.
Her focus areas include severe maternal morbidity & domestic violence in pregnancy. Dr. Bewley has published original research in gender medicine.
